Yaesu's FTX-1 series of transceivers is the ultimate in performance, convenience and ease of use.

The FTX-1 provides continuous wideband reception coverage from 30kHz to 174MHz and from 400MHz to 470MHz, including HF, FM broadcast and Air-band. The FTX-1 Field and FTX-1 Optima share the "field head", a compact transceiver measuring 213mm W, 89mm H, 55mm D. The FTX-1 Field is supplied with the high-capacity 6400mAh SBR-52LI lithium-ion battery for field operation.

By attaching the SBR-52LI battery to the rear of the field head, the FTX-1 Field provides 6W (5W for QRP) power output on the HF to V/UHF bands in all SSB, CW, AM, FM and C4FM configurations. It has a 9-hour run time at 6W on the HF (SSB) bands and an 8-hour run time at 6W on the V/UHF (FM) bands (duty cycle 6-6-48).

The SBR-52LI battery is recharged separately using a third-party USB Type-C cable with a 45W or greater power supply. When using an external 13.8V DC power supply, the FTX-1 Field has an output power of up to 10W and the field head automatically charges the SBR-52LI. By attaching the SPA-1 amplifier to the back of the field head, the FTX-1 Field operates as a 100W base station. No tools are required for connection.
