The Moonraker MRW-222 Super Rod is a telescopic high-performance antenna designed for handheld transceivers and scanners, suitable for operation on the 2 m and 70 cm amateur radio bands.
It supports transmission on 144–146 MHz and 430–440 MHz, while providing wideband reception from 25 to 1300 MHz, making it suitable both for amateur radio operation and wideband monitoring with compatible receivers and scanners.
Its telescopic construction allows the antenna length to be adjusted from approximately 22 to 93 cm, providing considerably more physical aperture than a typical short handheld antenna. The MRW-222 uses a BNC Male connector for direct connection to compatible equipment.
