The Comet SBB1 is a compact and highly flexible Dual Band mobile antenna designed for the 144 MHz (2 m) and 430 MHz (70 cm) amateur radio bands.

With an overall length of only 41 cm, it is an excellent solution for installations where a low-profile antenna is preferred while retaining operation on both popular VHF and UHF amateur bands. Its antenna element is protected by a dense, flexible coating, helping it withstand contact with low-clearance obstacles during mobile operation.

On 144 MHz the SBB1 operates as a 1/4-wave antenna, while on 430 MHz it uses a 1/2-wave non-radial design. Maximum power handling is 60 W FM, with an SWR of 1.5:1 or less under the specified installation conditions.

In addition to the amateur transmit bands, the SBB1 provides wide-band receive coverage from 100–170 MHz and 350–470 MHz, making it particularly useful with transceivers featuring extended receive capability.

The antenna is fitted with a PL-259 (UHF Male) connector for direct installation on compatible SO-239 mobile or magnetic antenna mounts.
