We are excited to introduce a new C4FM Digital/FM Analog 55W/50W V/UHF Dual Band Mobile Transceiver – FTM-310DE series.

The FTM-310DE series consists of the FTM-310DE ASP and FTM-310DE which share the core feature set of the FTM-310DE ASP. However, the FTM-310DE requires the optional SPU-1 board for ASP (Audio Digital Signal Processing) operation.*

The FTM-310DE series provides true dual band operation with two different receivers on different bands or within the same band including C4FM/C4FM simultaneous receive (V/U, V/V, U/V, U/U). The power output is 55W on VHF and 50W on UHF (55W/50W, 25W, 5W selectable). A heavy-duty heat sink with FACC (Funnel Air Convection Conductor) ensures stable and reliable transmit power.

The total audio output is 6W, generated by the AESS (Acoustic Enhanced Speaker System) consisting of a 3W front speaker inside the control-head and a 3W main-unit speaker. By varying the phase, output balance and frequency characteristics of the front and main-unit speakers, AESS achieves clear and high-fidelity audio while ensuring reliable communications even in outdoor or noisy environments.**

The Full Dot-Matrix display conveys information with clarity and precision, enabling users to interpret the versatile operating status efficiently.

Some fundamental and remarkable features of the FTM-310DE series are:

• C4FM Digital Mode:
  C4FM Digital is the standard mode for professional communication devices and has excellent audio quality (BER: Bit Error Rate characteristics) compared with GMSK digital. With YAESU’s original error correction technology, the FTM-310DE series achieves comprehensive high-grade communications.

• Super-DX + ASP (Audio Digital Signal Processor):
  In both C4FM digital and FM analog modes, the sensitivity of the RF amplifier can be increased by activating the Super-DX function.
  In FM analog mode, ASP can be activated in addition to Super-DX.
  ASP AUTO/MANUAL are selectable:

  • In AUTO, Super-DX is always ON and ASP activates automatically when the transceiver detects weak FM analog signals.

  • In MANUAL, Super-DX and ASP can be manually toggled each time the [S-DX] key is briefly pressed.

• PMG (Primary Memory Group):
  Up to 5 VFO or memory channels can be assigned to PMG and monitored using two receivers. Reception status is shown in real time with a bar graph. AUTO or MANUAL mode is selectable.

• MAG (Memory Auto Grouping):
  Memory channels can be automatically grouped and recalled by band. In “My Group (M-GRP)”, channels can be registered according to user preference regardless of band.

• CFL (Customized Function List):
  Up to 9 frequently used functions from the 127 menus can be registered for easy access.

• High-resolution Band Scope:
  Dual receive and scope display can be switched by holding [BAND] (SCOPE). Up to 47 channels appear on the scope. The left DIAL centers the frequency range; the right DIAL moves the marker and tunes to the signal under the marker. Transmission is possible at the marker frequency at any time.

• FM-Friendly Digital using AMS (Automatic Mode Select):
  AMS automatically selects C4FM Digital or FM analog based on the received signal.

• DG-ID and GM (Group Monitor):
  DG-ID uses two-digit IDs (00–99) to communicate only with group members using the same frequency and DG-ID.
  GM automatically monitors when stations with the same DG-ID are within range.

* Super-DX is available with the FTM-310DR without the SPU-1 board.
** The main-unit speaker does not sound when ASP is in use, but the 3W front speaker ensures clear and powerful audio.
