The Anytone AT-D578UV pro is a dual-band DMR transceiver, compatible with MOTOTRBO Tier 1 and 2. Of course, classic analog FM modulation is also supported. Unlike many other DMR models (with the exception of DMR models that also offer VFO functionality from TYT, Alinco and Anytone portables), the AT-D578UV pro offers real VFO functions, which makes it much more suitable for amateur use. You can set the frequency parameters and other parameters as you do in classic transceivers, instead of using only programmed memories. Of course, the AT-D578UV pro also offers many memories, 4000 to be exact.

Another difference from other DMR models is the ability to modify most (unfortunately not all) of the transceiver's parameters. This is useful because you don't have to connect a computer for every setting change. However, to access and modify all settings, you still need the CPS programming software and a computer. The new AT-D578UV pro is not just a car transceiver, a copy of the portable AT-D878UV. In addition to the familiar functions such as APRS broadcast on analog FM and digital roaming as well as the new Bluetooth feature, the AT-D578UV pro now offers the ability to receive a DMR and an analog channel simultaneously. Of course, you can also receive two analog channels simultaneously.

For easy volume adjustment, each of the two VFO bands has its own audio level control. The transmit power can be adjusted in four levels. The maximum power is 55W on VHF and 40W on UHF. The additional feature set of the AT-D578UV pro is very large. Up to 4000 different channels can be stored (digital and analog, mixed mode is also possible). 10,000 talkgroups and 300.000 digital contacts can also be stored. In analog mode, functions such as DTMF, CTCSS and DCS are supported, as well as 2- and 5-tone encoding.

A total of 10 buttons on the transceiver and microphone can be programmed separately, allowing users to define their own personal preferences. The brightness of the 1.77" color display and the backlit microphone keys can be adjusted in several stages. This guarantees ideal readability even in sunlight and comfortable operation if you are driving at night. Please do not copy the FreeBytes site. The roaming function of the AT-D578UV pro is independent of the device's location. When roaming, the system checks whether a repeater is reachable, from a predefined list, and tunes to it automatically if necessary. Roaming can be started manually or when the configured repeater is no longer reachable. Roaming channels can be divided into zones, like regular channels that can correspond to geographical areas for example. Another feature to be highlighted is the ability to store multiple DMR IDs. This makes it possible to use the device in a professional radio environment where several operators with different IDs share the same device.

The Anytone AT-D578UV pro is equipped with a GPS receiver, position data can be transmitted via the transceiver (DMR-APRS and FM-APRS). The device also has a connector for an external GPS antenna. The AT-D578UV pro is a dual-band device for 2m (VHF) and 70cm (UHF), in both bands you can work either analogically in FM or digitally in DMR. The antenna connection has a PL female connector (SO-239). The programming cable (USB / Micro-USB) is included in the package.
