The BU-55 is a 1:1 balun from Diamond Antenna. It is suitable for dipole, Yagi, Cubical and balanced antennas in general.
If coaxial cable is used to feed balanced antennas such as dipole antennas, unbalanced current is generated. This unbalanced current not only causes disturbance in the directivity of the radio wave, but can also cause TVI or BCI from the radio wave from the cable. The BU-50 prevents unbalanced current and TVI and BCI, and also enhances the directivity of the antenna.
